Position Summary

Virginia Transformer is seeking a Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Specialist to support recruiting activities across our growing organization. This position will be responsible for sourcing candidates, conducting initial screenings, coordinating interviews, maintaining accurate applicant tracking system (ATS) records, and partnering with hiring managers and HR teams in the United States and India.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, responsive, comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and committed to providing an excellent candidate and hiring-manager experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize multiple recruiting channels, including job boards, social media, professional networks, and other sourcing tools to identify qualified candidates.
• Review resumes and applications to assess candidates' qualifications and alignment with open positions.
• Conduct initial phone screenings to evaluate candidates' skills, experience, qualifications, and interest.
• Coordinate and calendar interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
• Follow up with interviewers and collect feedback regarding candidate suitability.
• Enter, maintain, and update candidate information in the applicant tracking system to ensure accurate and timely records.
• Generate daily recruiting reports to track activities, candidate pipelines, interviews, and hiring progress.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for candidates, providing information about Virginia Transformer, available opportunities, and the recruitment process.
• Communicate regularly with hiring managers and HR professionals in the United States and India to understand staffing requirements, priorities, and hiring timelines.
• Partner with recruiting and HR team members to share insights, best practices, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Maintain compliance with applicable employment laws, recruiting practices, and company policies throughout the hiring process.
• Provide candidates with a positive, professional, and responsive experience from initial contact through completion of the recruitment process.
• Support additional recruiting and HR activities as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of recruiting and interview calendaring/coordination experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with candidates, hiring managers, and HR professionals.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
• Ability to manage multiple open positions, candidates, interviews, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Eagerness to learn, develop, and take on additional responsibility in a rapidly growing organization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Recruiting experience within a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment.
• Familiarity with electrical or mechanical engineering terminology is highly desirable, as many Virginia Transformer positions support technical and engineering functions.
• Experience sourcing candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, professional networks, and other recruiting channels.
• Experience supporting multiple hiring managers or recruiting for several positions simultaneously.
