Job description

Good Shepherd is actively hiring an MDS Coordinator to oversee resident assessments, care planning, and reimbursement accuracy. The MDS Coordinator plays a critical role in regulatory compliance, financial integrity, and quality care outcomes. As an MDS Coordinator, you will coordinate assessments, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, and ensure accurate, timely documentation to support resident care and facility compliance.

Compensation: $85 000 - $90 000 per year

Schedule and Employment Type

  • Full-Time Days (8AM - 4:30PM)

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and complete resident assessments as the MDS Coordinator

  • Ensure compliance with MDS timelines, regulatory requirements, and facility policies

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on individualized care planning

  • Monitor documentation accuracy and reimbursement impact

  • Support audits, surveys, and quality initiatives

Qualifications

  • Current state nursing license preferred

  • At least one year of MDS experience required

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and MDS regulations

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with nursing and interdisciplinary staff
