ABOUT THE JOB
Process Controls Technician
JOB SUMMARY : The Process Controls Technician supports production, maintenance, and engineering to ensure safe/efficient/cost effective processes for the Liquid Products manufacturing, packaging, and sanitation operations. Programming, monitoring, and troubleshooting of all process equipment to include; controls/programming for manufacturing/sanitation, controls/programming for filling/packaging equipment, controls/programming for steam/water/product temperature controls/charts and other recording devices, bulk tank level electronic monitoring, bulk ingredient meter verification, special project support, SCADA systems support, and others as may be assigned
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Ensure Safety standards and procedures for associates
  • Must be dependable, engage and improve overall process performances with pro-active versus re-active approach.
  • Must possess and demonstrate strong technical skills and be abreast of the latest controls technologies, including but not limited to Rockwell software and Allen Bradley components.
  • Displays Teamwork within the department and across departments
  • Must possess and demonstrate above average verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Must be able to interact effectively with plant personnel as well as contractors, vendors and construction groups.
  • Maintains Internal and External Customer satisfaction
  • Must perform under accelerated timelines and possess above average problem solving, mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented and a self-starter.
  • Must have experience with machine and manufacturing technologies.

Education & Experience
Minimum 2-year associate's degree in industrial Electronics or related field or 5 years of industry experience with extended work experience in technical fields of programming, logic controls and electrical.

Language Skills:
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to customers, clients, and other team members of the organization.
  • Ability to use effective problem solving skills.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment and/or clothing.
  • Sit 8 or more hours per day.
  • Stand/walk 7 or more hours per day.
  • Frequently bend, reach, twist/turn and climb.
  • Occasionally squat.
  • Occasionally lift less than 5 lbs from floor to overhead and carry 30 feet.
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs from floor to shoulder and carry 30 feet.
  • Occasionally lift up to 100 lbs from floor to shoulder and carry 5 feet.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision

Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions:
  • Constantly work in damp, wet, humid and slippery environments.
  • Constantly work near moving equipment with fumes or airborne debris.
  • Constantly work in extreme heat/cold.
  • Constantly work in high noise levels requiring hearing protection.
  • Occasionally work in high places.
  • Occasionally work with toxic or caustic chemicals
