Shuttle Driver

Position Overview

The Shuttle Driver CDL A (with Doubles Endorsement) plays a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of products between Gold Star Foods facilities and other designated locations. This position is responsible for maintaining compliance with DOT regulations while providing reliable and timely delivery services.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Transport products between designated locations, ensuring on-time and accurate deliveries.
  • Safely operate tractor-trailers with double trailers in compliance with all DOT regulations.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety and operability of equipment.
  • Secure loads in compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members to resolve issues or provide updates.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date driver logs and records as required by DOT regulations.
  • Report any vehicle maintenance or safety concerns promptly to the Transportation Manager.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and customer service standards.
Requirements/Education
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • License/Certification: Valid CDL A license with doubles/triples endorsement required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience driving tractor-trailers. Experience with double trailers is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
