Job description

Summary: General kitchen helper/dishwasher and housekeeping duties, providing general backup for cooks and keeping the cleanup process moving to ensure clean and safe utensils dishes, silverware and glassware is consistently available
Duties and Responsibilities: This list is representative of all duties but is not necessarily all inclusive.
Load dirty dishes, glassware and silverware into the dishwasher, run the cycle.
Hand wash large pots and pans in sinks and clean and sanitize sinks periodically
Move clean dishes, glassware and silverware to the appropriate places to ensure availability as needed. Place clean items in the appropriate places as designated by leadership.
Maintains the surface areas with regular cleaning; mop the floors at the end of each shift .
Make sure to follow cleaning checklist.
Make sure that trash is removed and disposed of properly.
May stock supplies areas as needed.
Notify leadership of any system or machine malfunctions, water spills, etc.
Performs other duties as assigned by Leadership and available to any employee who needs help.
Expected qualifications for candidates for this role:
6 months to 1 year of experience in a similar role. A minimum of a High School Diploma or a GED.
The ability to move about on foot regularly; stand for long periods of time; ability to reach, bend, crouch or kneel regularly; ability to transport up to 100 lbs. occasionally. Carts should be utilized whenever possible for safety purposes.
Self-motivated, ability to see what needs to be done and does it; doesn’t wait for direction on obvious opportunities to avoid hazardous conditions like wet floors.
Performs other duties as directed by leadership and is available to help coworkers when asked.
