Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite within our outpatient facility. You will work Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule. Our office environment promotes teamwork and open communication among healthcare professionals, fostering an atmosphere where therapists can thrive and innovate in treatment approaches. We value collaboration, and you’ll have the opportunity to consult with physical therapists, speech therapists, and other specialists to coordinate comprehensive care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive functionality to inform tailored therapy plans.
  • Design, implement, and supervise individualized treatment programs to enhance residents’ mobility, daily living skills, and overall quality of life.
  • Regularly monitor patients’ progress, utilizing evidence-based techniques to adjust therapy as necessary, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed documentation and patient records in accordance with EMR systems, regulatory standards, and organizational protocols.
  • Educate patients and their families on therapeutic procedures and strategies to encourage engagement and adherence to treatment plans.
  • Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to share insights and advancements in clinical practices that promote holistic patient care.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and participate in staff meetings to enhance service delivery and follow best practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our outpatient setting caters to a diverse population of individuals seeking rehabilitation services following surgery, injury, or chronic illness. You will work predominantly with adults and elderly patients who may require assistance in recovering from orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, or cognitive impairments. Your role will be instrumental in guiding them on their journey toward independence, utilizing strategies that promote adaptive techniques for daily living.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Active license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Oregon.
  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in outpatient therapy.
  • Comprehensive understanding of contemporary therapy techniques and practices.
  • Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems for patient documentation and tracking.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with patients and team members.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in geriatric care or rehabilitation is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and a commitment to maintaining compliance with healthcare standards.
  • Previous involvement in interdisciplinary collaboration to enhance patient care delivery.
  • Utilization of innovative therapy methodologies and practice improvement initiatives.
Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
