Automotive Technician Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle repairs and maintenance according to repair orders and manufacturer standards
- Diagnose and repair automotive systems including:
- Engine
- Transmission
- Suspension
- Steering
- Electrical systems
- Brake systems
- Air conditioning and HVAC
- Perform automotive diagnostics using diagnostic tools and service equipment
- Test-drive vehicles and inspect components to identify issues
- Complete warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications
- Communicate repair recommendations and additional service needs with Service Advisors
- Maintain efficiency, accuracy, and quality workmanship
- Follow dealership safety procedures and shop standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Automotive Technician, Auto Mechanic, Service Technician, or Line Technician preferred
- ASE certifications preferred
- Strong automotive diagnostic and repair background
- Experience with Chevrolet, GM, or dealership service environments is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- High level of motivation, accountability, and work ethic
- Valid driverโs license with clean driving record required
- Must be willing to complete pre-employment background check and drug screening
