Work Environment

Operating in a fully remote setting, Forward Steps Psychotherapy embraces a telehealth model that ensures accessibility for both therapists and clients. Our work hours typically run from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM, with some flexibility required to meet the scheduling needs of patients. You will be equipped with the latest technology and resources to facilitate engaging virtual sessions, ensuring that you remain connected with your clients in a supportive and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments to identify clients' needs, utilizing evidence-based practices to develop personalized treatment plans.
• Implement various therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to meet individual client requirements.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential clinical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring proper documentation of client interactions and treatment progress.
• Collaborate closely with a dedicated treatment team consisting of psychiatrists, psychologists, and fellow mental health professionals to promote coordinated care.
• Participate in regular case consultations and peer review meetings to foster continuous improvement in service delivery and treatment outcomes.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment modalities, and available community resources to empower them throughout their journey.
• Stay informed on the latest research, methodologies, and advancements in the mental health field to enhance therapeutic effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a mental health therapist at Forward Steps Psychotherapy, you will work with a diverse population, encompassing individuals facing varying levels of mental health challenges, including trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Your role will involve tailoring your therapeutic approach to address the unique needs of each client, providing a safe and supportive space for healing and growth.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• An active, unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Texas.
• Proven ability to apply solution-based psychotherapy interventions that are responsive to individual client situations, promoting a personalized care approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients, families, and colleagues within a collaborative team environment.
• Adept in problem-solving and critical thinking to respond to client needs and enhance treatment effectiveness.

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will possess experience in teletherapy and demonstrate familiarity with digital therapeutic tools that facilitate effective virtual sessions. Experience in crisis intervention, a background in trauma-informed care, and expertise in working with culturally diverse populations will be advantageous in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
