Job description

Position Overview

At Fortis Motion LLC, we are dedicated to celebrating every achievement in our patients' journeys towards better health and mobility. We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic team at our hospital facility in Stockton, California. In this full-time role, you will be integral in helping patients regain their strength, mobility, and quality of life through compassionate care and evidence-based therapy practices.

About the Organization

Fortis Motion LLC is a therapist-led outpatient practice committed to delivering high-quality rehabilitation services. Our multidisciplinary team focuses on a patient-centered approach, ensuring that every individual receives personalized treatments tailored to their unique needs. We pride ourselves on fostering an inclusive and collaborative workplace environment where professional development is encouraged, and success is shared.

Work Environment

The PTA role is housed within our modern hospital facility in Stockton, CA, designed to facilitate effective treatment and rehabilitation. Working onsite allows for close collaboration with licensed Physical Therapists and other healthcare professionals, ensuring that our patients receive comprehensive care in a fast-paced and supportive atmosphere. Our facility emphasizes the importance of teamwork while also providing the opportunity for independent work when required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, evidence-based therapeutic services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans aimed at enhancing patients' functional abilities, promoting mobility, and improving overall quality of life.
  • Continuously monitor and document patient progress, adapting therapeutic activities based on ongoing evaluations and feedback.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with the Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure consistent and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and self-management techniques to facilitate ongoing recovery and success.
  • Create a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that motivates patients and builds their confidence throughout the rehabilitation process.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a PTA at Fortis Motion, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, which may include individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, neuro conditions, and sports-related ailments. Our team is dedicated to addressing the specific needs of each patient, ensuring a holistic and effective therapeutic approach.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, along with a graduation from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current California PTA license or in the process of obtaining it.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and a genuine desire to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while being capable of independently managing patient care as needed.
  • Experience working in a high-energy outpatient clinic setting is preferred.
  • CPR certification is required or must be obtained prior to starting the position.
Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience is required, we welcome both experienced PTA professionals and recent graduates who are eager to learn and grow within our organization. All applicants should possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges between $60,000 and $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to competitive salary offerings, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off (PTO), a 401(k) retirement plan, and wellness perks to support your overall well-being.

Career Growth Opportunities

At Fortis Motion, we believe in investing in our employees' future. We offer continuing education support and professional development opportunities that allow our PTAs to expand their skill set and advance their careers. Whether through specialized training programs or mentorship from senior therapists, we prioritize your growth within our team.

Why Join Our Team

If you are a dedicated PTA eager to make a lasting impact in the lives of your patients, Fortis Motion is the place for you. We are not just treating injuries; we are changing lives one step at a time. By joining our collaborative and uplifting team, you will be part of an organization that values your contributions, encourages mentorship, and celebrates your successes.
