As an Occupational Therapist at Fortis Motion, you will work onsite, engaging daily with patients and collaborating with a team of dedicated professionals to implement treatment strategies that yield meaningful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients to identify their unique needs, challenges, and goals using occupation-based and client-centered methods.
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that encourage real-life participation and improve functional tasks, tailoring exercises to individual patient capabilities and lifestyles.
• Utilize evidence-based practices in your treatments and document progress accurately and timely through our electronic medical records system.
• Work closely with physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and caregivers to design integrated care plans that support comprehensive recovery for clients.
• Provide education and guidance to families and caregivers, empowering them to reinforce therapeutic strategies at home and enhance client engagement.
• Participate actively in team meetings, contributing ideas and insights that promote collective decision-making and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Occupational Therapist at Fortis Motion, you will work with a diverse patient demographic, including individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, developmental delays, and those requiring assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs). A focus on pediatric clients will be significant, providing therapy for those coping with sensory processing challenges, autism spectrum disorders, and fine motor skills development. Every treatment approach is personalized to reflect each client's lifestyle and goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience is required.
• Current California license or eligible for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices with a commitment to evidence-based care.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset, striving to work efficiently within a multidisciplinary team.
• Dedication to supporting clients in achieving their functional goals with meaningful approaches.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in pediatric, neurological, or hand therapy is advantageous, though not mandated.

Compensation and Benefits

In recognition of your professional skills and dedication, we offer a competitive salary package ranging from $85,000 to $95,000, commensurate with experience. Additional benefits include:
