As an LPC, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality mental health services to individuals and families, emphasizing personal development and emotional healing. You will utilize your skills and experiences to provide tailored therapeutic interventions, fostering meaningful relationships and positive outcomes for your clients.

About the Organization

Forte Psychotherapy is a leading provider of mental health services in Edison, New Jersey, with a commitment to offering accessible care to underserved populations. We pride ourselves on our innovative approaches and our ability to create a supportive environment for both clients and staff. Our team consists of highly trained professionals who are dedicated to improving mental health access and enhancing the quality of life for our clients.

Work Environment

This remote position allows for flexibility and encourages a healthy work-life balance. However, you will have the benefit of working in a collaborative outpatient office setting when necessary. Our robust digital infrastructure supports telehealth services, ensuring you can connect with your clients seamlessly and maintain high standards of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to create individualized therapy plans that address the specific needs of each client.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy to clients of diverse backgrounds.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions and workshops aimed at providing support and education on various mental health topics.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records while adhering to all legal and ethical standards.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop integrated treatment plans that align with best practices and improve client outcomes.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops, training sessions, and current literature discussions to enhance therapeutic skills and knowledge.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with individuals and families who are often facing significant barriers to accessing care. This may include clients dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and relationship challenges. Your ability to establish rapport and effectively engage with a wide range of clients will be critical in successfully guiding them through their therapeutic journeys.

Qualifications
  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.
  • Active and unrestricted LPC licensure in the state of New Jersey.
  • A minimum of two years of counseling experience, ideally within a clinical or outpatient setting.
  • Strong understanding of ethical and legal standards in mental health care.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to connect with various client demographics.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a healthcare team and to manage documentation and billing processes efficiently.
Preferred Experience
  • Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, substance misuse treatment, or trauma-informed care will be highly regarded.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and telehealth tools is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $90,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including dental, vision, and health insurance plans.
  • Coverage for malpractice insurance to ensure peace of mind.
  • A steady flow of client referrals to help build your caseload effectively.
  • Assistance with billing and documentation processes to reduce administrative burdens and streamline your workflow.

You'll have access to continuous learning opportunities, including specialized training and conferences, which can pave the way for advancement within the organization. We strongly support initiatives that foster leadership skills and innovative practices in mental health care.
