Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health status and needs. This includes utilizing standardized screening tools to gather essential information for effective treatment planning.
• Develop individualized therapy plans that align with each client's specific issues, personal experiences, and therapeutic goals, ensuring they feel heard and supported throughout the process.
• Facilitate evidence-based individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, and systemic therapy techniques to address the complex dynamics within families and relationships.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and case managers to integrate care and deliver holistic treatment that effectively addresses mental health concerns.
• Support and educate family members throughout the therapeutic process, equipping them with tools and strategies to assist their loved ones in achieving and maintaining mental wellness.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential client records in accordance with state and federal regulations, ensuring compliance with ethical standards in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of clients, including individuals and families facing challenges related to relationship issues, communication breakdowns, and complex family dynamics. Qualifications

• A current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is essential.

• A nonjudgmental attitude and genuine empathy for clients' experiences are vital in fostering a supportive environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in community health settings or with clients experiencing a range of mental health issues is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices and current therapeutic modalities relevant to marriage and family therapy will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of addiction recovery principles and experience working with clients in substance abuse recovery is a plus.
