Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments by gathering comprehensive information about clients’ psycho-social backgrounds during first sessions.
• Evaluate clients' emotional and mental health status, formulating tailored treatment plans that align with their unique circumstances and goals.
• Utilize therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Somatic Based methods, to assist clients in examining and understanding their thoughts and feelings.
• Facilitate engaging and meaningful interactions with clients, encouraging open dialogue and reflection during sessions.
• Implement crisis intervention protocols when clients exhibit signs of distress, ensuring their immediate safety and well-being.
• Guide clients through mental exercises and role-play scenarios as necessary to promote their therapeutic progress.
• Offer thoughtful and actionable recommendations for additional treatments or services if appropriate, while navigating referrals and other resources.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential client records, ensuring compliance with ethical guidelines and legal requirements.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field is required.
• Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) is a must.
• A minimum of two years of counseling experience, ideally within a clinical setting, is required.
• Demonstrated expertise or specialization in areas such as family therapy, trauma recovery, couples counseling, and substance abuse recovery is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of legal and ethical counseling practices, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations.
