Job description

Commercial Fire Protection is seeking experienced Fire Alarm Technicians. There's never been a more exciting time to join our team! We are in an accelerated growth phase in a rapidly expanding industry and are seeking motivated, self-driven individuals looking for a long-term career in the Portland area.
Responsibilities include servicing, inspecting and testing fire alarm systems to the prescribed standards; performing on-site emergency troubleshooting; programming and repairs of our customers fire alarm systems; identifying code and non-conformance issues; and preparing accurate and timely service tickets and reports. Duties may also include the installation of fire alarm systems.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with low-voltage electrical systems, including fire alarm systems.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, submittals, operational procedures, and product manuals.
  • Knowledge of test equipment, including multimeters, digital analyzers, and commissioning devices.
  • Capable of performing physical labor, including lifting and carrying equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in unusual or confined spaces, including climbing ladders, working on scaffolding, operating lifts up to 40 feet, accessing ducts, crawl spaces, and above-ceiling areas.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and extended hours as needed to meet customer requirements.
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service with strong communication skills and a positive, professional attitude.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels to ensure timely response to customer needs.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines at all times.

Additional Requirements
  • LEA, EL06, NICET II certifications preferred or the ability to obtain within 90 day
  • Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets company standards.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
