This is an excellent opportunity for a senior engineering professional to lead the design and execution of high-voltage transmission line projects critical to regional infrastructure.

This position is based in either Florida or Georgia, with flexibility for a hybrid work schedule depending on project requirements.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the full lifecycle design of overhead transmission lines (69kV to 500kV), including structure configuration, conductor selection, and foundation systems.

    • Develop and review engineering calculations, technical specifications, and design criteria.

    • Perform advanced modeling and analysis using PLS-CADD, PLS-Tower, and other industry-standard tools.

    • Mentor and provide technical oversight to junior engineers and design teams.

    • Coordinate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure integrated and efficient project delivery.

    • Conduct site visits and field evaluations to gather data and support construction planning.

    • Ensure engineering deliverables meet all relevant codes and standards, including NESC, ASCE, and local/state utility requirements.

    • Participate in client meetings and technical presentations, providing clear communication of project status, risks, and solutions.

    • Support project planning, budgeting, and proposal development for both new and ongoing work.

    • Contribute to internal initiatives to refine engineering standards, templates, and quality control processes.

    Education, Skills & Experience:

    • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Civil, Structural, or Electrical Engineering (Masterโ€™s preferred).

    • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required (FL or GA licensure preferred or ability to obtain).

    • 7โ€“10+ years of experience in high-voltage transmission line engineering.

    • Expert proficiency in PLS-CADD and PLS-Tower.

    • Deep knowledge of applicable standards such as NESC, ASCE, and IEEE guidelines.

    • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate across disciplines.

    Benefits & Compensation:

Our client offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package, including:

    • Competitive Base Salary (Dependent on Experience)

    • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance

    • Paid Time Off and Company Holidays

    • 401(k) Retirement Plan with Company Match

    • Tuition Assistance and Professional Development Programs

    • Wellness Incentives and Employee Assistance Programs
