Work Environment

The LPC position operates within a telehealth setting, enabling our counselors to deliver services remotely and effectively. You will utilize secure telehealth platforms and electronic medical record (EMR) systems to maintain an organized and efficient workflow, all while working from the comfort of your own home.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to understand clients' needs, goals, and challenges.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused techniques.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions for diverse client populations, which may include children, adolescents, families, and couples.
• Document client progress accurately and uphold legal and ethical standards of practice regarding confidentiality.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide holistic care and ensure clients receive comprehensive support.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops and training to stay informed about the latest advancements in mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In our practice, you will primarily serve clients from varying backgrounds who are encountering a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance-related challenges. Many of our clients come to us seeking help during vulnerable times, requiring a supportive and empathetic approach. Your efforts will directly contribute to improving their quality of life and empowering them on their healing journey.

Qualifications

• A master's or doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• An active and unrestricted Professional Counselor (LPC) license in the state of Connecticut.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a counseling role, preferably within a clinical or telehealth setting.
• Strong grasp of legal and ethical standards relevant to mental health practice.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and rapport-building skills to foster effective relationship with clients.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Proficiency in using EMR software and telehealth technologies.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse treatment.
• Experience in integrating evidence-based practices into therapeutic interventions.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 90,000 annually, commensurate with your experience and caseload. Additionally, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
