Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individualized assessments to develop personalized therapy plans that address clients' unique mental health needs.
• Implement a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic therapy, to facilitate client progress.
• Lead therapy sessions for individuals, couples, families, and groups, promoting open dialogue and effective coping strategies.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic client care, actively participating in case discussions to optimize treatment outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation while adhering to ethical and legal standards in practice.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, including attending workshops and training sessions to stay informed on the latest mental health research and methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role as a Licensed Professional Counselor will primarily focus on working with individuals and families from underserved backgrounds who have limited access to care. This diverse client population includes those facing challenges related to mental health disorders, trauma, substance use, and family dynamics. Your expertise will be essential in providing culturally sensitive and effective interventions that promote healing and growth.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas is mandatory.
• A minimum of two years of professional counseling experience is required, ideally in a clinical setting.
• Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards in mental health practice.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 90,000, commensurate with experience and caseload availability.
