This full-time position is ideal for passionate counselors eager to employ their skills in a supportive and innovative environment.

About the Organization

Family First Wellness is a leading provider of mental health services in Thornton, Colorado, dedicated to ensuring that individuals and families receive compassionate and accessible care. We specialize in catering to those with limited access to mental health resources, offering tailored therapeutic solutions that promote emotional wellness and personal development. Our team prides itself on fostering an inclusive and collaborative atmosphere where every member is valued.

Work Environment

This role is fully remote, allowing you to balance your professional and personal life effectively. You will connect with clients via telehealth, utilizing advanced electronic medical record (EMR) systems to manage documentation efficiently. Our commitment to a healthy work-life balance ensures you can maintain your personal well-being while providing essential services to those in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to create individualized therapy plans for clients, ensuring that their unique needs are addressed.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to a diverse clientele, including individuals, families, and couples, using modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic client care, effectively communicating treatment plans and progress among healthcare providers.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records in compliance with ethical and legal guidelines, ensuring all documentation is current and comprehensive.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, including workshops and conferences, to stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in mental health care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

At Family First Wellness, our focus is on supporting people from various backgrounds facing a wide range of mental health challenges. You will work primarily with clients who have limited access to traditional mental health care, helping them navigate issues that include anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and substance misuse. Your expertise will be crucial in empowering these individuals and families to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
  • Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Colorado.
  • A minimum of two years of professional counseling experience in a clinical setting.
  • Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards in counseling practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with diverse clients.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team, fostering a spirit of partnership and support.
  • Proficiency in using EMR software and other related technologies to manage client information effectively.
Preferred Experience
  • Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance dependency treatment is highly preferred.
  • Prior experience delivering telehealth services is an advantage, as mental health care adapts to emerging technologies.
  • Involvement in community outreach or wellness initiatives is a plus, as we value holistic client engagement.
Compensation and Benefits

Family First Wellness offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 – 90,000 annually, commensurate with your experience and the caseload you handle. In addition to a rewarding salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, vision, and dental insurance, access to malpractice insurance, and many client referrals to help you build your practice with ease.
