Job description

Eventide on 8th is currently looking for a Full-Time Facilities / Maintenance Technician. Various weekdays and various hours, with weekend and holiday rotations.


The Facilities Technician provides safe, quality customer service while assisting with the general repair, maintenance, and upkeep of the Eventide facility and its grounds under the direction of the Facilities Manager.


Ideal Candidate

  • High school diploma preferred
  • Valid Driver's license and clean driving record
  • Prior experience in working in or around maintenance departments

Essential Job Functions

  • Responsible for all facets of building/grounds maintenance and the preservation of Eventide's assets. Including but not limited to grounds work, snow removal, equipment repairs and service calls, minor and major repairs to fixed and movable physical plant equipment.
  • Monitors and maintains Direct Digital Control systems to ensure efficient operations of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems.
  • Utilizes the CMMS work order system to check job assignments, make comments, and manage work orders.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on Eventide assets as assigned.
  • Completes the make-ready process of vacant skilled care rooms and apartments for new residents as assigned.
  • Assists in monitoring of all projects being performed by outside contractors and reports information to Facilities Manager.
  • Responsible for reporting unusual occurrences, damage that may occur, or damage that has already occurred to Eventide property.
