Job description
Ready to build a career in industrial maintenance? Our client is hiring a skilled Maintenance Mechanic/Technician to support their operations. You’ll handle equipment maintenance, repairs, and preventive upkeep to keep everything running smoothly. If you’re mechanically inclined, like solving problems, and work well under pressure, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. Pay ranges from $30–$32 per hour, based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery, including inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and component adjustments
- Identify and resolve issues in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments
- Operate grinders and drill presses; service and maintain forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Utilize MIG/Arc welding skills as needed (preferred)
- Maintain detailed and accurate maintenance and repair records
- Follow all safety procedures and regulatory requirements
- Report maintenance issues and provide updates to management and team members
- Complete additional duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
- 1–2 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician/Mechanic is preferred
- Well versed in troubleshooting, and performing preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment
- Experience working with software programs such as Megamation or CMMS
- Experience with MIG/Arc welding is an asset
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to dust and loud noise (hearing protection provided)
- Ability to lift, carry, and move pallets and materials weighing up to 85 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift
- Able to stand for long periods while completing repair tasks and transporting pallets
- Requires strong visual attention to identify pallet defects and perform precise repair work
- Must have steel toed footwear in good repair
