Maintenance Mechanic – 2nd Shift

Pay: $26.63–$39.94/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 3:30 PM–11:30 PM

Training: Approximately one month on 1st shift, depending on experience

Position Summary

Seeking a hands-on Maintenance Mechanic to support production equipment and facility maintenance on 2nd shift. The position is approximately 80% manufacturing maintenance and 20% facilities maintenance, with a strong mechanical focus and some electrical troubleshooting.

After training on 1st shift, this individual will work independently to troubleshoot breakdowns, complete preventive maintenance, and keep production equipment running efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain injection molding and related manufacturing equipment.

  • Perform mechanical repairs involving hydraulics, motors, servo drives, sensors, relays, and auxiliary equipment.

  • Maintain thermolators, material systems, drying systems, and other molding support equipment.

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on production machinery.

  • Troubleshoot basic electrical systems from 240V up to 480V.

  • Perform basic PLC troubleshooting on Allen-Bradley, FANUC, and similar systems; programming from scratch is not required.

  • Support automated assembly and packaging equipment.

  • Handle general facilities maintenance, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and building repairs.

  • Follow LOTO and established safety procedures.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical/trade education preferred.

  • Approximately 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.

  • Experience with injection molding, blow molding, or similar molding equipment strongly preferred.

  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, including hydraulics and industrial machinery.

  • Basic electrical troubleshooting experience with motors, relays, sensors, and electrical controls.

  • Comfortable troubleshooting equipment operating at 240V–480V.

  • PLC troubleshooting experience is a plus.

  • Must be able to work independently, make sound maintenance decisions, and ask for support when needed.

  • Must be comfortable providing both production equipment and general facility maintenance.
