About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatch Assistant to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our dispatch processes. The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses strong organizational skills. As a Dispatch Assistant, you will support our dispatch team by handling various tasks that contribute to the timely and accurate delivery of goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate dispatch schedules and assignments for drivers.
- Communicate with drivers to provide instructions and updates.
- Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities and logistics documentation.
- Assist in tracking deliveries and managing timelines to meet customer expectations.
- Monitor vehicle and driver performance and report any issues to the dispatch supervisor.
- Liaise with other departments to ensure effective communication and workflow.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, additional education in logistics or a related field is a plus.
- Prior experience in dispatch, logistics, or customer service roles is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in using dispatch software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
