Elixir Acupuncture Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Acupuncturist to become an integral part of our healthcare team in Norfolk, Virginia. Work Environment

As part of an onsite team, you will take part in a collaborative healthcare setting, working closely with practitioners from various disciplines within Hornell Chiropractic. The office is equipped with specialized tools and facilities to support acupuncture sessions, including treatment rooms and spaces for community education initiatives. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations and treatments, diagnosing various health conditions through traditional acupuncture assessments.
• Formulate tailored treatment plans for patients, articulating these plans clearly to ensure understanding and patient engagement.
• Implement local acupuncture techniques specifically aimed at addressing acute and localized injuries while ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
• Utilize additional modalities as needed, including cupping, electro-acupuncture, and trigger point acupuncture/dry needling, enhancing treatment efficacy.
• Explain acupuncture procedures, including the insertion of needles and the application of adjunctive therapies, to help prepare and reassure patients.
• Engage in staff mentoring, training initiatives, and community presentations to promote awareness of acupuncture benefits and practices.
• Collaborate with team members to design and implement coordinated care strategies, leading to improved patient outcomes.
• Manage your schedule efficiently, offering flexible appointment options for patients while maintaining punctuality in treatment administration.

Preferred Experience

• Continuing Education Units (CEUs) in specialized areas such as sports medicine acupuncture or trigger point therapy are preferred.
• Certification or expertise in subspecialty areas of acupuncture will be considered a significant advantage.

Compensation and Benefits
