All about the role:

The Accounting & Tax Manager will lead the finance and accounting function, overseeing financial reporting, compliance, accounting and accounts payable operations, team leadership, ERP transformation to SAP, and cross-functional collaboration across local, regional, and US stakeholders to support a complex commercial distribution business. The role manages a small team and acts as a key business partner to the local leadership team, supporting a commercial distribution operation with imported products and multi-origin supply flows.

Where you'll be:

This role is located in Puerto Rico, onsite.

What you'll do:

  • Lead end-to-end accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, financial reporting, and statutory compliance.

  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with local GAAP, tax regulations, and Electrolux policies.

  • Serve as the primary contact for internal and external audits, ensuring regulatory compliance and timely tax filings.

  • Oversee proper accounting treatment of imports, intercompany transactions, and inventory flows.

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.

  • Provide financial insights and analysis of key business drivers to support decision-making.

  • Partner with commercial, supply chain, and management teams to enhance financial visibility and business performance.

  • Drive continuous improvement of financial processes, controls, governance, and operational efficiency.

  • Manage accounts payable performance, working capital optimization, and risk mitigation initiatives.

  • Ensure alignment with global finance standards while identifying opportunities for process standardization and automation.

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Set priorities, ensure delivery of key objectives, and model Electrolux values and behaviors.

  • Act as a strategic finance partner to local leadership, regional finance teams, and US-based corporate stakeholders.

  • Build strong cross-functional and cross-regional relationships to ensure alignment, compliance, and effective decision-making.

  • Operate effectively within a matrix organization, balancing multiple priorities with transparency and ownership.

  • Represent Finance in the ERP transformation from JD Edwards to SAP, supporting process design, testing, implementation, and change management.

  • Ensure data integrity, business continuity, and successful adoption of new processes and controls during the system transition.

  • Collaborate with regional and global teams to drive ERP implementation success and long-term process improvements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required; CPA preferred.

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting and finance experience within multinational organizations, including Big 4 experience.

  • Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting operations, preferably within distribution and import-based businesses.

  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, JD Edwards, or similar), advanced Excel skills, and a strong digital mindset focused on automation and process improvement.

  • Analytical, detail-oriented problem solver with a demonstrated track record of driving process improvements and managing multiple priorities effectively.

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, with a strong customer service orientation and ability to collaborate across functions and stakeholders.
