Position Overview

El Centro Behavioral Center is seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our expanding team as we aim to provide top-notch mental health services to our diverse clientele. This full-time remote position allows you to work from the comfort of your home while making a significant impact in the community. Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical consultation to our dedicated team of clinicians on complex mental health issues, ensuring a collaborative approach to patient care.
• Communicate vital information about patients, including social history, to relevant staff, ensuring that all team members remain informed and coordinated in their care efforts.
• Lead the planning and development of comprehensive care plans for individual patients, particularly considering their home environments and resources.
• Review therapeutic cases regularly, propose adjustments to treatment protocols based on patient progress, and ensure alignment with best practices in the field.
• Document clinical sessions and outcomes effectively, completing progress notes in a timely manner to maintain accurate patient records and improve continuity of care.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training initiatives to stay current with best practices in mental health counseling.
• Other responsibilities as directed by the clinical supervisor, ensuring the smooth operation of the counseling department.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our counselors support a diverse patient demographic, including geriatric clients, individuals struggling with substance use disorders, and a variety of other mental health challenges. You will engage with patients from various backgrounds, providing tailored therapeutic interventions in a safe and supportive environment.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.
• Current independent licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• Strong ability to complete documentation accurately and efficiently following each client session.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a community health setting or similar environment.
• Proven record in providing quality mental health services across a variety of patient populations.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems.
• Capability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Compensation and Benefits
