Job description

Job Summary:
We're building a dedicated Talent Pool for Early Intervention Specialists (EIS) to connect with exceptional professionals who are passionate about supporting infants, toddlers, and families in their natural environments. By applying, you'll be considered for future Early Intervention Specialist openings across our Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) teams serving Bexar County.
This posting is not for an immediate opening. However, joining our talent pool ensures you'll be among the first to hear when new EIS positions become available.
Responsibilities (May Include):
  • Provide Specialized Skills Training (SST) using a family-centered coaching model to support the development of children ages birth to three.
  • Partner with families and caregivers to embed learning opportunities into everyday routines in alignment with HHSC/ECI rules and program standards.
  • Serve as the child's Service Coordinator, helping families access resources, coordinating IFSP services, and ensuring procedural safeguards are maintained.
  • Assist in determining eligibility, participating in evaluations, developing IFSP outcomes, and completing required IFSP reviews and transition planning.
  • Maintain thorough, accurate documentation within required timelines and in compliance with agency, HHSC/ECI, Medicaid, and private insurance standards.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, physicians, and community partners to support high-quality services.
  • Travel throughout the service area to deliver home- and community-based services
Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree with 18 hours of coursework relevant to early childhood intervention, including 3 hours in early childhood development or early childhood special education.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and build supportive relationships with families.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic record systems.
  • Commitment to family-centered, strengths-based early intervention practices.
  • Ability to travel locally throughout Bexar County.
Preferred:
  • Experience in ECI, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, or other family-centered programs.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English).
  • Familiarity with early childhood development, developmental delays, and the coaching model.
Why Join Our Early Intervention Specialist Talent Pool?
  • Be among the first to know when EIS roles open within our ECI program.
  • Join a mission-driven organization focused on empowering families and helping children reach their full potential.
  • Stay connected with our hiring team for upcoming openings.
