What You'll Be Doing:
  • Supervise DSPs and oversee daily home operations
  • Coordinate and assist with personal care, daily routines, and life-skills training
  • Ensure proper meal prep, food inventory, and mealtime assistance
  • Transport individuals to outings, appointments, and recreational activities
  • Monitor home safety, health standards, and well-being of residents
  • Complete and review documentation: health logs, assessments, behavior tracking
  • Maintain accurate individual data notebooks and report incidents or concerns promptly
  • Foster a positive, home-like environment through structure, encouragement, and consistency

Requirements
Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to work cooperatively with peers and supervisors
  • Adaptability to change and fast-paced environments
  • Ability to present a positive image to individuals, families, and the community
  • Proficiency with recordkeeping, employee management, and training systems
  • Compassion, patience, and the ability to nurture others
  • Proficient in reading and writing in American English
  • Ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision
  • Maintain assigned training competencies
  • Must pass a criminal background screening and drug test
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's in Human Services preferred
  • 2 years of experience in the ID/DD field and 1 year of supervisory experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record for the past 3 years
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work in close contact with individuals requiring personal hygiene assistance
  • Physically capable of lifting/transferring individuals with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Must be able to reach, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods
