Job Overview
We're looking for a hands-on, safety-minded Technical Service Representative to support Electric Rope Shovel repairs at customer mine sites-primarily in the Safford & Morenci area. You'll spend your days troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues on electric rope shovels, performing preventative maintenance, and assisting with major capital rebuilds and overhauls.
If you enjoy solving electrical problems, working outdoors, and supporting customers, this could be a great fit.
Key Job Responsibilities
  • Electric rope shovel troubleshooting, inspection and audit teams.
  • Accurately report machine condition, repair/maintenance recommendations, time to repair/service.
  • Facilitate development of maintenance strategies that promote safety, system reliability, and the reduction of unplanned down time.
  • Assist electricians with installations and wiring of electric rope shovels.
  • Effectively communicate to Customer Supervisors, Managers, Internal Employees, Engineering and Product Support on any customers needs.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Must be proficient at using Computers.
  • Must be able to connect monitoring devices to analyze signals and interpret data that we will be gathering at any given time.
  • Must be knowledgeable in Electrical Theory and in the Electrical Field.
  • Understand how circuits work and how to read and understand Electrical Schematics.
  • Must be able to safely work in a Team Environment for the betterment of Komatsu Mining.
  • Must be prepared to perform Root Cause Analysis on failures and effectively draft reports for customers, internal personnel and Product Support.
  • Must have great communication skills in person, on the phone and on a computer.
