Job description
We're looking for an exceptional General Manager to lead our restaurant team! As the General Manager, you'll be responsible for managing all aspects of our daily operations, from overseeing employees to maintaining inventory and supplies, to ensuring our guests are thrilled with their experience.
As the financial backbone of our business, you'll be responsible for maximizing profits while keeping costs low. You'll adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize expenses, ensuring that all financial and administrative duties are completed accurately and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Some of your responsibilities include:
1)Lead and run excellent shifts.
2) Delivering top quality food.
3) Enjoy customer service the Jersey Mikes way.
4) Using communication skills to motivate team members.
5) Role modeling a sense of urgency.
Some of the General Manager expectations are:
1) Work 45+ hours a week.
2) Hiring and development of your team
3) Maintain open communication with AGM and DM.
4) Lead your team by example. Embracing our standards at Jersey Mikes.
5) Maintain food safety standards

It started back in 1956, in this actual storefront location and was originally called Mike's Subs. Mike opened the small shop in the sea-side town of Point Pleasant, New Jersey. You have to remember that in 1956, there were very few franchise restaurants or hamburger chains. No chain pizza, chicken or taco restaurants, either. In 1956, proprietors of mom-and-pop businesses would open their stores in basic storefront locations like you see here. To survive and thrive, they had to offer exceptional quality products, coupled with unparalleled service. In 1956, Mike was unique in that the product he was offering was a relatively new item in American society – the submarine sandwich. Today, the authentic taste – served Mike's Way® with lettuce, onions, tomatoes, oil, vinegar and spices – is available nationwide. Our secret? Everything about Jersey Mike’s is high quality.
