Job description

Our client, an industry leader in electronics manufacturing, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Selective Wave Operator to join their team. As a Selective Wave Operator, you will be an integral part of the manufacturing department supporting PCB assembly and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate precision, teamwork, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Selective Wave Operator

Location: Milpitas, CA

Pay Range: $24.00-$25.00/hr

Shift: Swing Shift (2:30 PM-11:00 PM) AND Day Shift(6:00 AM-2:30 PM)

What's the Job?

  • Perform preventive maintenance of wave soldering equipment to ensure optimal operation.
  • Prepare circuit boards for machine soldering, including cleaning and masking designated areas.
  • Inspect PCB assemblies for defects such as missing solder, bridges, or lifted parts.
  • Set up, calibrate, and operate wave and selective soldering machines to achieve precise solder joints.
  • Follow detailed schematics, IPC 610 standards, and manufacturing instructions to maintain compliance and quality.

What's Needed?

  • Familiarity with JT Industries CO WS-450PC-B soldering machine and KISS selective soldering machine.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in programmable wave soldering machine operations.
  • Experience with water soluble, no-clean, and lead-free solder applications.
  • Strong knowledge of PCB design, assembly processes, and surface mount technology (SMT).
  • Ability to read work instructions, schematics, and identify through-hole components.
