  • Work collaboratively with clients to create customized treatment plans that align therapeutic interventions with both mental health and substance use recovery goals.
  • Deliver evidence-based individual and group therapy sessions focused on building essential coping skills, relapse prevention tools, and emotional regulation strategies.
  • Engage in regular interdisciplinary meetings to align treatment strategies with psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists, ensuring a cohesive approach to care.
  • Utilize motivational interviewing techniques and substance use monitoring to empower clients in their recovery process.
  • Educate clients and their families about the connection between mental health and substance use disorders to enhance their understanding and treatment compliance.
  • Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation of treatment progress, adhering to ethical and legal standards in clinical documentation.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions and case discussions to stay abreast of the latest developments in treating co-occurring disorders.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with adults 18 years and older who face the dual challenges of mental health disturbances and substance use disorders. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds, and their experiences may range from mild issues to severe psychological complexity. Your ability to tailor interventions to individual patient histories and needs is crucial to promoting effective outcomes.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT within the state of Washington.
  • Proven proficiency in implementing evidence-based therapies for co-occurring conditions, such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
  • Strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of clinical experience working with individuals facing mental health and substance use disorders is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in both individual and group therapy settings, with a focus on evidence-based practices.
  • A solid understanding of the social determinants of health and their impact on mental health outcomes.
