Position Overview

Crystal Psychotherapy is seeking dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT) to join our dynamic clinical team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will provide high-quality behavioral healthcare to individuals, couples, and families through remote therapy sessions, as well as in our modern outpatient office located in Newark, New Jersey. Your expertise will play a critical role in fostering healthier relationships and improving the overall well-being of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

Your role as an LMFT will involve a variety of clinical tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Conducting therapeutic assessments with couples and individuals, gathering comprehensive histories, and evaluating the dynamics affecting their relationships.
  • Facilitating therapy sessions with couples, while also managing individual sessions to address personal challenges and collective goals.
  • Developing tailored treatment plans that support the unique needs of couples and families dealing with issues such as conflicts among family members, grief, adjustment to separation and divorce, and communication difficulties.
  • Utilizing evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques, ensuring that you stay current with advancements in the field to deliver the best care possible.
  • Documenting client progress in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring that all case files reflect accurate information and conform to confidentiality regulations.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working with a diverse patient population that includes couples, families, adults, and adolescents. Your focus will encompass a wide range of family-related challenges, such as:

  • Addressing alcohol abuse and its impact on family dynamics.
  • Supporting clients coping with physical and psychological abuse.
  • Providing grief counseling for individuals and families experiencing loss.
  • Assisting blended families navigate complexities, including remarriage and sibling dynamics.
  • Guiding clients through job-related stressors and health issues.
Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Possess an active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • Hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Exemplify a strong commitment to ethical practice and patient care.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experiences will be viewed favorably:

  • Working with a range of issues including those related to marital conflict, adolescent behavioral problems, and family dynamics.
  • Previous experience in a telehealth setting or familiarity with online therapy platforms.
  • A track record of continuing education and professional development in behavioral health.
Compensation and Benefits

Crystal Psychotherapy offers a competitive salary range of USD 75,000 to 100,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
