Special Education Teacher

Tempe, AZ | 2026–2027 School Year


Cross Country Education is seeking passionate and student-centered Special Education Teachers to join a supportive school community in Tempe, Arizona for the 2026–2027 school year. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while supporting students in achieving academic, behavioral, and developmental success.


Position Details:

  • Location: Tempe, AZ
  • School Year: 2026–2027
  • Assignment Dates: July 28, 2026 – May 22, 2027
  • Schedule: Full-Time | 37.5 Hours per Week
  • Compensation: $48–$52/hour on W-2 (paid weekly)
  • Benefits: Year-round benefits available


Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction aligned with student IEP goals and Arizona state standards
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, service providers, administrators, and families
  • Modify curriculum and instructional strategies to support diverse learning needs
  • Collect and maintain documentation related to student progress and compliance requirements
  • Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and school-based initiatives
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
  • Active Arizona Special Education teaching certification required
  • Previous school-based experience preferred
  • Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance practices
  • Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills
