Job description

Job Description:

Crescent Crown is looking for a Sales Representative who will be responsible for managing and expanding sales in the Baton Rouge Market, as well as neighboring areas within an assigned route. This role entails operating a non-CDL 10-bay truck to visit designated accounts, processing orders, and delivering products directly from the truck on a weekly schedule. The successful candidate will be expected to establish new account relationships within their route and ensure that customers take advantage of current promotions, displays, and marketing tools. In addition, the role requires achieving monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across several areas.

Requirements (Include)

  • Candidates must be at least 21 years old.
  • An undergraduate college degree is preferred, but applicants with a suitable level of position-related experience will also be considered.
  • Applicants must have at least one year of sales experience.
  • A valid Class D – Chauffeur – Louisiana driver’s licence and an acceptable driving record are required.
  • Outstanding attention to detail is essential, as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Candidates must promote Crescent Crown Distributing teamwork and demonstrate ethical conduct in the workplace.
  • Strong customer relations skills are necessary.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • The ability to report to work regularly and on time is essential, and employees must ensure their work responsibilities are covered during any absences.
  • Willingness to work extended hours as needed to meet service demands.
  • Applicants must demonstrate the capacity to perform effectively in high-pressure environments.
  • Competence in performing tasks using an iPad is required.
  • The role involves repeated bending, walking, standing, twisting and turning.

Preferred:

  • Candidates with previous experience in sales within the consumer product industry are preferred, as such backgrounds provide valuable insight into market trends and customer needs specific to this sector.
  • Prior experience in selling Non-Alcoholic an/or Alcoholic beverages in the Direct Store Delivery (DSD) industry is advantageous, equipping applicants with specialized knowledge relevant to the role.
  • Experience in beer industry sales is also regarded as beneficial, as it demonstrates familiarity with the unique aspects and customer expectations within this market segment.

Physical Requirements/Working Environment:

The position requires the regular operation of a motor vehicle to visit customer accounts, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery. From time to time, it is necessary to lift, push, pull, or carry items weighing over 50 lbs, demonstrating the need for physical strength and stamina.

The role involves frequent bending, walking, standing, twisting, and turning throughout the workday. Employees must be able to use their arms, wrists, and hands for grasping tasks for the entire shift. In addition, the role requires sitting, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, standing, walking, and turning or pivoting for up to five hours per day, five days per week.

Applicants must be capable of working effectively under stressful conditions. They should also possess the ability to see, hear, and communicate sufficiently to perform assigned responsibilities and to always maintain proper job safety standards.
