Quality Technician - Supplier Quality & Inspection

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour, based on experience

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Quality Technician to support supplier quality, incoming inspection, and manufacturing quality operations.

This role works closely with suppliers, Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to identify and resolve issues involving incoming or in-process parts, nonconforming material, inspection documentation, and other quality concerns that may affect production.

Candidates with experience in quality inspection, supplier quality, quality assurance, aerospace manufacturing, or precision manufacturing are strongly encouraged to apply.

Pay is based on experience. Candidates considered for the $30.00-$32.00/hour range should have directly related inspection or supplier quality experience.

What You'll Do
  • Review incoming supplier products and in-process parts for quality or documentation issues
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies that could prevent parts from being released to Manufacturing Operations
  • Communicate directly with suppliers to help resolve product, documentation, and quality issues
  • Support the nonconforming material / nonconforming parts process and assist with product containment
  • Help validate supplier and internal corrective actions
  • Review First Article Inspections (FAIs), PPAP documentation, and other quality records
  • Review parts and documentation against blueprints, engineering requirements, customer specifications, and internal procedures
  • Use inspection methods and precision measuring tools to evaluate parts
  • Work with internal Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, and other teams to resolve quality concerns
  • Support activities involving customer-returned products
  • Help identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Participate in problem-solving, Kaizen, 5S, and team improvement activities
  • Assist with training and knowledge sharing as needed
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or higher
  • 2-3 years of related inspection or supplier experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working in or with Quality, Engineering, or Manufacturing
  • Experience with inspection methods and the use of inspection tools to evaluate manufactured parts
  • Ability to read and understand complex blueprints, engineering drawings, route sheets, test specifications, customer specifications, and manufacturing procedures
  • Ability to identify problems and help develop and implement solutions
  • Working knowledge of shop mathematics, including trigonometry
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to use Microsoft software tools for business communication
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively across multiple teams
  • Ability to meet required visual inspection standards, including passing a visual acuity test covering near vision, far vision, and color perception
