  • Review complex tax filings, including navigating audits, objections, voluntary disclosure and taxpayer relief submissions with the Canada Revenue Agency.
  • Oversee and review the work of staff and senior accountants, providing mentorship, coaching, and formal performance feedback to foster professional growth.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement firm-wide policies, best practices, and internal processes to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Lead technical training sessions and contribute to the development of team members, enhancing their knowledge of tax regulations, processes, and tools.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in or completion of the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Program.
  • 1-2+ years of Canadian public practice experience with a focus on taxation. Candidates with more extensive experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation and compliance software (e.g., Taxprep, CaseWare) and other accounting software (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian tax laws, including corporate tax, personal tax, and indirect taxes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax matters in a clear and concise manner to clients.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple client deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A supportive and collaborative work culture in a mid‑sized firm setting
  • Exposure to a wide range of industries and client engagements
  • Comprehensive benefits and extended health coverage
  • Firm-sponsored social events and team‑building activities
  • Ongoing professional development and leadership training
