Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Corner Street Behavioral Health, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the nature and severity of clients’ mood disorder symptoms, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder.
• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that reflect their unique goals and preferences, ensuring they remain engaged in their therapeutic journey.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to promote emotional regulation and coping skills.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to enhance their mental health.
• Monitor and document client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on feedback and outcome measures.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated, holistic care for clients.
• Engage in professional development through case consultations, team meetings, and training sessions to stay abreast of advancements in mental health research.
• Champion client advocacy efforts by promoting mental health awareness and supporting clients in overcoming stigma and barriers to care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients include a diverse range of individuals and families facing mood disorders, traumatic experiences, or life transitions. We particularly focus on vulnerable groups, including those affected by homelessness, domestic abuse, and immigration challenges. As an LMFT, you will play a crucial role in guiding these clients through their struggles and empowering them towards healthier and more fulfilling lives.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, establishing a strong therapeutic rapport with clients.
• An empathetic and nonjudgmental approach, understanding the unique experiences of each client.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
