Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individual counseling sessions utilizing secure video chat technology, focusing on creating a safe space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings.
• Facilitate discussions that encourage self-reflection and emotional awareness, helping clients recognize patterns and triggers in their behavior.
• Advocate for clients by identifying their unique needs and supporting them in setting and achieving realistic personal goals.
• Evaluate clients' mental health status and develop customized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices and approaches aligned with their specific concerns.
• Stay current with best practices in mental health care by engaging in ongoing education and training, ensuring the delivery of high-quality therapeutic interventions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with stable adults who experience low acuity mental health issues, allowing you to focus on providing supportive and preventive mental health care. Clients are carefully pre-screened to ensure suitability for remote therapy, allowing for a productive therapeutic relationship without the complexities associated with severe mental health disorders. Our advanced matching system aligns you with clients whose needs fit your expertise and interests.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Active, unrestricted licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW, permitting independent practice.
• Demonstrated proficiency in developing effective treatment plans tailored to individual client needs.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients quickly.
• Strong technological proficiency, especially in using telehealth platforms and software.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with adults in a remote counseling context, especially with low acuity mental health concerns.
• Expertise in various therapeutic modalities or specialties that could enhance our service offerings.
• Being familiar with online therapeutic tools and resources that can enrich client interactions.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 52,000 to 70,000, dependent on your experience and hours worked. Full-time counselors are also eligible for a monthly healthcare stipend, supporting your well-being while you care for others.
