Job description

Small, family-owned, busy construction company is seeking a Class A CDL Working Driver to transport construction equipment and materials to local jobsites.


This is a hands-on construction position, not a driving-only job. In addition to operating tractor-trailers and dump trucks, the driver will be responsible for loading and unloading equipment and materials, including heavy construction equipment such as excavators and skid steers. The position may also involve throwing/loading sod, handling materials, assisting with jobsite activities, and other construction-related duties as assigned.


Responsibilities include:

  • Operating tractor-trailer to transport heavy construction equipment to local jobsites
  • Safely loading and unloading excavators, skid steers, and other equipment
  • Operating a dump truck to pick up and deliver construction materials
  • Loading and unloading materials, including sod
  • Assisting with general construction and jobsite duties as needed
  • Performing other physical and construction-related tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Clean and safe driving record
  • Must be able to drive a stick shift
  • Experience safely loading and unloading heavy equipment
  • Construction experience preferred
  • Ability to perform physical labor and work outdoors
  • Reliable, safety-conscious, and willing to work as part of a construction crew

This position is best suited for someone who enjoys a hands-on work environment and is comfortable working outside the truck when needed.
