Company

We do all phases of fiber and coaxial aerial construction from the initial planning and design through construction of the distribution plant, installations, proof-performance testing, and on-going maintenance. We have a reputation for quality, service and safety.
Overview
The Aerial Crew Ground-hand performs tasks associated with aerial Cable TV construction. This position will assist the lineman in the various aspects of line maintenance, repair and construction.
Responsibilities
• Operate construction equipment / utilize standard telecommunications tools
• Operate hydraulic aerial lifts and ladders mounted to trucks
• Prepare and assemble various line apparatus required for particular work being performed.
• Read and interpret engineering plans
• Assist with loading of various materials onto trucks and/or trailers
• Operate chain hoists
• Operate vehicle, following all safety and traffic regulations
• Use equipment to install grounding rods and anchors
• Maintain proper inventory on vehicle based on work assignment
• Keep work areas clean and organized including maintaining detailed record of work activity
• Any and all other duties assigned by supervisor/foreman
Qualifications
• Ability to endure long periods of standing, sitting, or walking, able to bend, stand, sit, crawl, climb and lift throughout work shift
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work varied schedule (on call, evening and weekends as needed)
• Ability to climb ladders and use bucket trucks as needed.
• Must be able to carry 75-80 lbs. and work at heights of 20+ feet
• Work mandatory overtime hours as required
• Must have a valid driver's license and ability to secure a DOT medical card.
