Special Education Technician (Northern Quebec) Employment conditions: Willing to work in the area mentioned and ideally owns a means of transport. Ability to work in various settings: CHSLD, CLSC, hospital (CH), rehabilitation centre, intermediate resource, private residence or community setting. Location: Quebec City, Canada (Northern Quebec) Contract type: Full-time or part-time (permanent/fixed-term contract depending on needs) Schedule: Day, evening or night depending on assignments and availability Compensation: Up to $50 per assignment + bonuses, transportation reimbursement, ongoing training About Asicc-Med – Mobile Health: Since 1992, Asicc-Med has been supporting health establishments, hospitals, CLSCs, CHSLDs, rehabilitation centers, private residences and home services throughout Quebec. Our values: Respect Kindness Professionalism Integrity Collaboration Job description: We are looking for specialized education technicians to support people with adjustment difficulties, functional limitations, behavioral disorders, impairments or psychosocial problems in different intervention settings. The person holding the position contributes to the development, maintenance and improvement of users' adaptive capacities and autonomy by implementing educational interventions adapted to their needs. Main responsibilities: Observe and assess the behaviors, needs, and capabilities of users Participate in the development and implementation of intervention plans Apply educational intervention techniques tailored to the established objectives. To promote the development of autonomy, social skills and integration of the user Supporting users in their daily activities and adaptation processes Intervening during situations of crisis, disorganization or difficult behavior Collaborating with families, loved ones, and interdisciplinary teams Write progress notes, reports and clinical observations Ensure that records are kept in accordance with professional standards and Law 25 Participating in the prevention, rehabilitation and maintenance of users' skills Requirements: Training and permits: DEC in Special Education Techniques Recognized equivalent training that may be considered depending on the mandate Right to work legally in Quebec Professional skills: Excellent observation and analytical skills Skills in working with diverse client groups Ability to manage complex or crisis situations Empathy, patience and professionalism Autonomy and a sense of responsibility Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team Excellent communication skills Proficiency in spoken and written French Strengths: Experience working with a healthcare clientele ...
