Community Support Volunteer

Description: As a Community Support Volunteer, you'll play a vital role in enhancing the lives of residents and supporting the operations of our facilities. Whether you're assisting with special events, communications, or collaborating with the activities department, your dedication will make a meaningful impact. Volunteers may be placed in administration, finance, medical staff offices, or other clerical areas throughout the facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with administrative tasks such as paperwork, filing, and organization to ensure smooth operations. 
  • Support special events by helping with planning, setup, coordination, and execution.
  • Aid in communications efforts, including updating social media, drafting newsletters, and managing correspondence. 
  • Collaborate with the activities department to plan and facilitate programs that promote resident engagement and well-being. 
  • Provide friendly assistance to residents, visitors, and staff, creating a welcoming environment for all.

Qualifications:

  • No prior experience necessary; volunteers of all backgrounds and ages are welcome.
  • High school students seeking community service hours are encouraged to apply! Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Compassionate demeanor and a genuine desire to support others.

Onboarding Process:

All volunteers must complete an onboarding process, which includes:

  • Screening for tuberculosis (TB) to ensure the health and safety of residents and volunteers.
  • Training sessions to familiarize volunteers with their roles and responsibilities.
  • Orientation to introduce volunteers to our facilities and community.
