Job description

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Clinic Emergency Medical Tech
  • Job Type: PRN/ Pool 
  • Location: Grand Valley ENT & Facial Plastic Surgeons | Suite 240 |

Responsibilities:

  1. Receives and evaluates incoming calls, arranging appointments as directed by healthcare providers.
  2. Performs routine and specialized tests as ordered by medical professionals and adheres to all Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) requirements.
  3. Obtains patient samples and prepares for couriers based on priority.
  4. Provides patient care per standard operating procedures & policy,
  5. Assists provider with patients in the clinic per hospital standards and procedures.
  6. Completes administrative functions as requested.
  7. Cleaning, Sanitizing and Room Preparation
  8. Administration of some basic medications (e.g., epinephrine, oral glucose), Intravenous (IV) therapy, and administration of additional medications (e.g., pain management, antiarrhythmics)

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Certified EMT Basic, Intermediate, or Paramedic
  • IV certification preferred.
  • Registered with the Colorado Registry or National Registry Required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required
  • Two years of related experience preferred

 

Compensation:

  • $20.00 - $23.00 per hour, depending on education and experience.
  • Discretionary bonuses, relocation expenses, merit increase, market adjustments, recognition bonuses, and other forms of discretionary compensation may be available.
