Job Duties

To enhance the correctional programs of the Commonwealth of Virginia by operating a viable business entity that provides jobs and work skills for sentenced inmates to help them successfully re-enter society, and offers quality goods and services to our customers, on time and at a fair price.
Virginia Correctional Enterprises (VCE) is a manufacturing and service agency that is focused on providing meaningful jobs and work skills for offenders and offering quality goods and services to our customers. The Sales Account Representative for the Northern Region and provides expertise in executing marketing and sales activities. Responsibilities include sales and revenue generation resulting from the marketing, networking, client retention, new client development, and overall promotion of VCE products and services. Builds and cultivates relationships within key new and current accounts
If hired by VCE you will start or restart a 12-month probationary period. This is for all New Hires, Transfers, returning State Employees. For more information on our products, services and locations visit govce.net.

Minimum Qualifications

Comprehensive knowledge of the sales process, marketing, networking, client retention, client development, and revenue generation. Ability to research purchasing systems for sales leads and information and analyze sales data for sales trends. Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing. Skills required are Microsoft Word and Excel..
Ability to complete the Virginia Ethics Council Conflict of Interest (COI) filing within two (2) business days of hire and annually thereafter, in accordance with the Code of Virginia 2.2-3100.
Ability to complete COI training within two (2) months of hire and every other year thereafter, as required by Code of Virginia 2.2-3132.
