Comfort Console Psychotherapy is actively seeking dedicated Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors (LPCC) to join our team in a full-time remote role. Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Mental Health Counselor, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments and actively participating in individualized treatment planning with clients to establish reasonable goals.
  • Managing client documentation, ensuring all records are complete with appropriate signatures, and conducting weekly audits each Friday to maintain compliance.
  • Coordinating discharge planning and engaging in community outreach efforts to support client reintegration.
  • Responding effectively to crises, demonstrating the ability to take decisive action in emergency situations.
  • Documenting noteworthy client interactions in daily records to track progress and inform future sessions.
  • Addressing client complaints efficiently and with care, ensuring a positive therapeutic environment.
  • Ensuring support staff completes client orientations properly, establishing a strong foundation for treatment.
  • Facilitating family communication by setting up schedules when desired by the client.
  • Meeting with clients individually at least twice weekly to monitor their progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
  • Completing thorough notes for each group session and individual interaction to maintain clear records of therapeutic activities.
  • Participating actively in regular staff meetings and engaging in continued training to enhance professional skills.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse client population that includes individuals from various backgrounds, cultures, and mental health conditions. Your role will focus on a client-centered approach, ensuring that therapeutic practices are tailored to meet the unique needs of each person, fostering resilience, and promoting mental wellness in the community.

Qualifications
  • A valid California state license as a Professional Counselor (LPCC) is required.
  • A minimum of two years' experience in clinical counseling in a mental health context is necessary.
  • Proficiency in individual and group counseling techniques, with a strong understanding of behavior management principles.
  • Ability to exhibit self-direction while working collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for interacting effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development, ethical standards, and best practices in counseling.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in community health settings and familiarity with telehealth practices will be more competitive. Understanding of various therapeutic methodologies and evidence-based practices is also an advantage, as it aligns with our approach to client care.
