Your expertise will be vital in supporting individuals facing significant psychological challenges and working collectively towards improved health outcomes.

About the Organization

At Coastline Health System, we are committed to promoting healthier communities by offering accessible, quality healthcare services regardless of a patient's ability to pay. Our mission emphasizes the importance of acting locally to address global health challenges, and we take pride in being a model health center that others can emulate. We strive to create a diverse, inclusive workplace where innovation and collaboration drive our efforts in mental health support.

Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of a fully remote work setting, allowing you to deliver essential counseling services from the comfort of your own home. You will be part of a dynamic team that utilizes telehealth systems, engaging with clients through secure, HIPAA-compliant platforms to ensure confidentiality and efficient service delivery. Our operational hours are from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while fulfilling your professional responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct clinical care to clients experiencing major mental illnesses or severe emotional disorders, utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to individual needs.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to advance shared goals and improve client outcomes, demonstrating effective teamwork.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop integrated care plans that reflect the client’s needs and preferences, ensuring access to a variety of linked services.
  • Deliver a range of prevention, treatment, and recovery services, including crisis intervention, individual and group therapy, and family counseling.
  • Participate actively in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to committees that enhance service delivery and address client feedback.
  • Monitor client progress, ensuring adherence to treatment goals while adjusting strategies as necessary to promote empowerment and choice.
  • Prepare and submit timely reports and data for compliance and accountability purposes.
  • Provide on-call support as assigned to address urgent client needs.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client population primarily includes individuals from diverse backgrounds experiencing significant mental health challenges, often within under-resourced areas. You will work closely with clients to understand their unique cultural and socioeconomic contexts, fostering an environment of respect and empathy. Your role is pivotal in facilitating access to mental health resources that promote recovery, resilience, and overall well-being.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field is required.
  • Current LCSW licensure in the state of California is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health assessment and diagnosis, treatment methodologies, and crisis management strategies.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with clients and team members.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, with the ability to manage a diverse caseload efficiently.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a mental health setting is preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desirable, enabling better communication with a broader range of clients.
Compensation and Benefits

The base salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $85,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include:

  • A generous sign-on bonus to welcome you to our team.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance options.
  • A 401k plan with a company match to support your retirement planning.
  • Paid time off and sick leave to ensure your well-being and work-life balance.
  • Life insurance and additional perks to safeguard your future.
