- Originate and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to attract new correspondent clearing relationships and increase assets, revenues, and transaction volumes.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective broker-dealers, introducing brokers, proprietary trading firms, institutional clients, and registered investment advisors.
- Cultivate senior-level relationships with owners, CEOs, COOs, CFOs, Heads of Operations, and Trading executives across the financial services industry.
- Present the firm's clearing, custody, execution, securities lending, financing, and technology solutions to prospective clients.
- Lead all stages of the sales process, including prospecting, discovery, proposal development, contract negotiations, and client onboarding.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to design tailored clearing solutions that address client operational, technology, trading, and regulatory requirements.
- Represent the firm at industry conferences, trade associations, and networking events to enhance market visibility and generate new business opportunities.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive dynamics, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies impacting correspondent clearing and brokerage services.
- Collaborate with product, technology, and operations teams to identify opportunities for service enhancements and new revenue-generating offerings.
- Ensure a seamless transition from sales to implementation by coordinating onboarding activities and maintaining executive-level client engagement.
- 7+ years of experience in correspondent clearing sales, prime brokerage sales, institutional brokerage, capital markets, or financial services business development.
- Demonstrated success selling clearing, custody, execution, or brokerage solutions to financial institutions.
- Established network of broker-dealer, introducing broker, RIA, hedge fund, family office, or institutional relationships.
- Strong understanding of self-clearing and correspondent clearing models, securities processing, trade lifecycle management, custody services, and regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of equity, options, fixed income, and futures markets is highly desirable.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and consultative selling skills.
- Proven ability to navigate complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and decision makers.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities, structure solutions, and drive revenue growth.
- FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses preferred; Series 24, 57, or other industry licenses are a plus.
