Job description

Director of Community Living Services

Location: Arlington Heights, IL

Hours: Full time, Monday-Friday 9:00am-4:00pm, 35hrs/week; On-Call Responsibilities

Salary: $75,000/year

Clearbrook is a non-profit, social services agency that is dedicated to providing innovative services, tools and opportunities to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities such as Autism and Down Syndrome.

The Director of Community Living Services oversees the daily operations, administration, and staffing of all community living facilities, ensuring high-quality residential care and regulatory compliance.

What you will do:

  • Oversee day-to-day facility operations and ensure strict compliance with IDPH and DHS regulations, including managing all state surveys.
  • Hire, supervise, and evaluate program staff, utilizing PHI coaching techniques to foster a supportive team environment.
  • Partner with the finance team to manage program budgets and ensure all funding requirements are met.
  • Act as the main point of contact for families, guardians, and community organizations to advocate for client needs.
  • Develop and update facility policies while upholding strict confidentiality for all clients and their families.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance and business operations teams to ensure all buildings and grounds are safe and well-kept.
  • Step in to support leadership meetings, prepare board materials, and delegate administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field
  • Preferred: Master’s Degree in related field

Experience:

  • Minimum: 
    • At least 2 years of related experience
    • At least 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Preferred:
    • At least 5 years of related experience
