Summary

City Market Co-Op is seeking a Head Cashier to support Front End operations and the work of cashiers and baggers to ensure the highest standard of prompt, friendly, and efficient customer service to the City Market customer.

Day-to-Day Duties

  • Working with Front End Management to support effective and efficient department operations.
  • Assist with training and assigning tasks to cashiers and baggers.
  • Interacting with and helping customers; duties include answering questions and assisting with member applications.
  • Providing support to customers and staff as needed and maintain clean, organized, and professional work areas.
  • Compliance with established City Market procedures and practices regarding operations, sales, safety, and security.
  • May be required to perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • One year of retail or supervisory experience OR 18 months of customer service experience required.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Knowledge of natural and conventional foods and the food industry helpful.
