Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dedicated team at Empowering Choices Psychotherapy Practice. This full-time, remote position offers you the flexibility to make your own schedule while providing essential mental health services to clients in need. As part of our therapist network, you will have the opportunity to impact lives positively, earning a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with your experience and hours worked.

About the Organization

Empowering Choices Psychotherapy Practice is committed to connecting independently licensed therapists with clients who require professional mental health support. Based in Sammamish, Washington, we operate as a community health clinic that prioritizes both accessibility and quality of care. Our practice is designed for therapists who not only wish to provide treatment but also seek to work in a diverse environment where every therapist's background and skills are valued.

Work Environment

As a fully remote position, this role allows you to work from the comfort of your home, eliminating daily commutes while granting you the flexibility to create a work schedule that suits your needs. Our work environment emphasizes efficiency, with minimal administrative burdens. We handle the billing and documentation processes, allowing you to focus fully on your therapeutic practice and the well-being of your clients.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be tasked with:

  • Conducting individual therapy sessions via secure video chat, ensuring a comfortable environment for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings.
  • Encouraging clients to express their emotions and experiences, fostering insights that can aid in their personal development and relational dynamics.
  • Acting as an advocate for clients by helping them articulate their treatment goals while nurturing a trusting therapist-client relationship.
  • Assessing client mental health conditions with evidence-based tools and personal expertise, developing effective treatment plans tailored to each individual.
  • Implementing therapeutic interventions focused on solution-oriented outcomes, drawing from your clinical training and ongoing professional development.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client base is composed of individuals who have been prescreened to ensure they are stable and presenting with low acuity symptoms. This approach allows our therapists to engage in deeper therapeutic work without the distractions or challenges posed by high-acuity cases. You will work with a diverse clientele across various backgrounds, enhancing the therapeutic experience for both you and the clients.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants must possess:

  • A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related fields.
  • An independent license (LMFT, LMHC, LCSW) issued by the state board. Note that limited or provisional licenses are not accepted.
  • Strong skills in evaluating mental health conditions and the capacity to make informed decisions regarding treatment planning.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and engaging presence that fosters trust and collaboration with clients.
  • Proficiency in using technology, including telehealth systems and relevant software for counseling practices.
Preferred Experience

While we welcome all qualified applicants, preference may be given to candidates who possess:

  • Experience working in a remote setting, demonstrating the ability to provide high-quality care in a virtual context.
  • Familiarity with diverse patient populations or specialized therapeutic modalities that attract various demographics.
  • Atrack record of developing and executing treatment plans that yield positive outcomes for clients.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package that includes:

  • A salary range between USD 90,000 and 100,000, depending on hours worked.
  • A sign-on bonus to welcome you onboard.
  • Weekly direct deposit for efficient and timely earnings.
  • A monthly healthcare stipend for full-time counselors, supporting your well-being.
  • Minimal administrative workload, ensuring your time is focused on client care rather than paperwork.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Empowering Choices Psychotherapy, we believe in fostering professional development. We provide comprehensive onboarding that accommodates your needs and ensures that you feel confident in our systems within as little as three days. Additionally, we offer access to ongoing professional training and networking through our therapist portal, which is tailored to enhance your methods and expertise in alignment with your licensure.

Why Join Our Team

By becoming part of our thriving team, you will engage with a network of diverse therapists committed to high-quality care. We prioritize matching you with clients who align with your specialties, providing unlimited referrals to maintain your caseload. Our focus on diversity and support among therapists not only enriches your practice but also ensures that clients receive therapeutic care uniquely suited to their needs.
